DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE
The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) promotes and supports medical research to identify solutions to all medical issues that armed force soldiers either have, or will, confront in their military deployments. DoD support for Obvia Pharmaceutical research has been sustained and significant over a now 5-year span. This DoD support has come in two areas central to Obvia’s clinical development plan: i) over $2.5 M to support the use of PrC-210 to profoundly improve outcomes in both the organ transplant and limb transplant (VCA; Vascularized Composite Allograft) settings, and ii) over $1.1 M to support the use of PrC-210 to suppress the incidence and severity of neurodegenerative outcomes in brains following cranial radiation exposure. Obvia will maintain these programs in parallel with closely related clinical trials.
